Just weeks after confirming their split, the rappers are scheduled to play at the same venue on New Year’s Eve.

In a year full of breakups, rappers Cardi B and Offset are ending 2023 with the messiest one.

New Year’s Eve is a huge night for performers of their caliber. It’s the one night of the year when they can basically name their price to play a short party set at a nightclub or private event.

However, those easy gigs take an awkward turn when you realize your newly minted ex is playing at the same venue.

According to US Weekly, the exes are both scheduled to perform at Miami Beach’s Fontainebleu resort on Dec. 31.

Cardi is planned for a poolside set at 9 p.m. ET, with tickets ranging from $250 to $25,000.

Meanwhile, Offset will play LIV nightclub inside the Fontainebleau at 10 p.m. ET, with prices going from $125 to $15,000.

They likely planned these performances months ago, long before they broke up. The Fontainebleu won’t want to lose either high-profile act, but it’s hard to imagine that they both keep these commitments. Anyone who’s ever been through a difficult breakup will tell you that spending time around their ex when the split is still fresh is emotionally draining. With that in mind, it wouldn’t be surprising to see at least one of them drop out, which means you should definitely get the insurance if you have tickets to one of these shows.

The “Bongos” rapper recently confirmed their split on Instagram Live, referencing rumors about Offset possibly cheating, saying, “I don’t know if y’all been getting clues from me from my live or from my stories, when I put certain music or if I’m unfollowing — when it comes to today’s events, I don’t know if it’s true. I don’t think it’s true.”

She went on to explain that she’s “been single for a minute now. But I have been afraid to, like — not afraid — I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been a sign.”

Cardi’s post came from a very emotional place, but since they’re both rappers, their paths are destined to cross at industry events, and neither artist can afford to cause drama every time. This New Year’s Eve situation could be a precursor for how they handle their intertwined lives and careers in the future.(b)
