What can you expect in ‘Wednesday’ season 2
Who doesn’t know them, the eccentric, gloomy and mysterious Addams Family. They are all crazy and love creepy, macabre situations. They live in a haunted house next to a swampy swamp and the sinister cemetery. They like to play with death. A family full of bizarre characters.
In 2022, the latest production Wednesday was released on Netflix, a series about their daughter Wednesday Addams. The first season of this popular Netflix series has been well received by the general public. We also really enjoyed the episodes directed by Tim Burton. Jenna Ortega portrays Wednesday iconically and with verve.
Spoiler Alert!
Wednesday is expelled from school. She doesn’t fit in with the common people. She is sent to Nimmerweer, a mysterious school for outcasts. Very soon she is completely occupied by a mysterious monstrous creature. She must and will discover who or what is behind it.
A few months ago, the production team said they were starting to look for locations and new writers for the second season. There is currently no footage available from the second season, footage from season 1 will be used in the renewal announcement. And they’re pretty cool because there’s also a nod to Wednesday’s legendary dance in season 1. It went viral on TikTok.
Green light
Fortunately for the many fans, Netflix already gave the green light for a second season at the beginning of this year. The big question is: when? No date has been announced yet.
Now that the WGA strike has ended and SAG-AFTRA is entering a new phase of talks, fans can be hopeful that more will be revealed soon.
New season
After there was initial concern due to merger issues between Prime Video and MGM about which streaming platform would host season 2, a new report from Indiewire confirms that the series will remain on Netflix.
It is still unclear whether we can expect the same cast, but Ortega will in any case play the role of Wednesday and is also a co-producer. We therefore expect that Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams and Victor Dorobantu as Ding will be back.
Looking back
The first season of Wednesday can be found on Netflix.
