Reese has been in the spotlight since she helped LSU win its first national championship in 2023

COLLEGE basketball star Angel Reese rose to popularity after leading LSU to the NCAA championship for the first time.

However, basketball fans have noticed that Reese wasn’t on the court during the LSU game on Friday, November 17, 2023, and they want to know why.

What happened to Angel Reese?

During the November 14 game, Reese played the first half as normal.

However, by the second half of the game, the basketball star sat out.

The following game on November 17, Reese was benched again prompting others to wonder why.

LSU head coach Kim Mulkey refused to comment on why she wasn’t playing.

Mulkey said: “You want me to explain why? It’s very obvious Angel was not in uniform.

“Angel is a part of this basketball team and we hope to see her sooner than later. I’m not going to answer anymore. That’s it.”

What has Angel Reese said about being benched?

Since being benched, Angel has yet to speak to the public about the situation.

However, she has taken to social media to post cryptic messages.

Reese wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Please don’t believe everything you read.”

She then posted a video on her Instagram Story of football coach Deion Sanders.

Coach Sanders says in the video: “Look at me. What about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me?

“Your opinion of me is not the opinion that I have of myself. You ain’t make me, so you can’t break me. You didn’t build me, so you can’t kill me.

“You know what, God established me, so ain’t nothing you can do to me. I been him, I been a difference maker, a game changer, I’ve been that guy. So what would change? Not a darn thing.”

The video continued: “I’m not even playing the game, and you’ve got an opinion of me. I love it, but I don’t care.”

Where is Angel Reese from?

Angel Reese was born in Randallstown, Maryland, on May 6, 2002.

While in high school, Reese attended Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore.

She then went on to play collegiate basketball at the University of Maryland for two years

In 2022, Reese transferred to Louisiana State University.
