Anthony Davis has been seen in the gym performing various strength workouts

LOS Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis has come a long way from being a slim rookie prospect.

The 30-year-old has transformed himself to have a bigger, filled-out frame as the eight-time NBA All-Star is currently in his 12th season.

Anthony Davis, with a frail 221-pound frame, entered the league as the No. 1 overall pick by the then-New Orleans Hornets in 2012

Davis entered the league in 2012 as the No. 1 overall pick of the then-New Orleans Hornets.

He came into the league six-foot-nine and a frail 221 pounds.

After his 13.5 points per game rookie campaign, Davis made the All-Star game six straight years with the New Orleans Pelicans, leading the league in blocks three times.

The Kentucky product joined the Lakers in 2019, winning his first NBA title alongside LeBron James during the 2020 COVID bubble.

However, Davis has appeared in less than 60 games in each of the last three seasons.

During the offseason, the big man bulked up over the season.

The Lakers posted social media photos of Davis working out in the gym.

He was seen lifting weights and performing pull-ups.

Davis looked physically dominating with his biceps and arms which appeared to be bigger than ever before.

Last season, he was listed as six-foot-10 with a weight of 253 pounds.

It appears that Davis’s incredible body transformation has helped him stay on the court so far in the 2023 season.

The Illinois native has played in 19 of a possible 20 games.

His points per game have lowered, averaging 22.6 points as opposed to last season’s 25.9 points per game, but he’s attempted fewer field goal attempts (15.4) than 2022 (17.2).

Davis also has his second-best free throw percentage (84 percent) while averaging his second-best mark of blocks per game (2.7).

Los Angeles has a 11-9 record and is the No. 7 seed as LeBron averages 24.8 points per game.
