Damian Lillard’s reputation as a “family man” has suffered greatly

Just a few days after Lillard departed the Portland Trail Blazers, on October 2, he filed for divorce from his estranged wife Kay’La Lillard. She subsequently asked for sole custody of the couple’s three children, according to RadarOnline.

Asserting that Lillard had “never been the sole parent responsible for the care of all three of our children, for any hours-long period of time without the help of nannies, assistants, and/or family members,” Kay’La appeared to be criticizing Lillard in reaction to the divorce petition.

“While the children were living with me full-time in my home, Father chose when and how much he saw the children,” she went on. “Father would come over for thirty to an hour to play with the kids while I was there or while a nanny was there a few times a week when he was in town and not traveling for basketball, publicity, endorsements, or his music endeavors.”

Lillard’s portrayal of himself as a family man, Kay’La continued, was a lie that she had assisted in spreading over the globe.

“I am aware of his hectic schedule and the numerous responsibilities he has,” she remarked. Additionally, I am aware that the brand “Damian Lillard” must maintain its image of a family-man. Even after we split up for a few months, I have persisted in promoting that image to the general public.

Dаme’s divorce application states that he lived with the family until late December, despite Kay’La’s allegatiоn that she and Dаme have been living apart since October of last year.
