HEAT CULTURE Kyle Lowry’s incredible body transformation as NBA star bulks up from 196lbs after Pat Riley comments

MIAMI Heat guard Kyle Lowry underwent intense body transformation to regain top shape for the 2023-24 NBA season.

The 37-year-old six-time NBA All-star has looked noticeably leaner through the first half of the season after getting called out on his conditioning by Heat general manager Pat Riley.

Miami was knocked out of the playoffs last season in the Eastern Conference semifinals by the Boston Celtics in seven games.

Lowry missed 17 games last season with injuries and personal matters that affected his ability to work out.

After their loss to Boston, Riley spoke about his frustration with Lowry’s conditioning throughout the season and challenged him to get in shape, but he also understood the battles he faced that year.

“Kyle had a challenging year for a lot of reasons… He had some injuries, missed some time and then there were some personal issues…

“I think he can be in better shape.

“I do believe that the pain of losing and the reminders that you send out about this might change his mind a little bit.

“I do think that he can be in better shape next year,” Riley said.

Lowry took the message to heart, and over the summer, he was seen working vigorously in videos posted to social media.

It’s unclear how much weight Lowry has dropped, but in June, he went viral on X after pictures surfaced of him.

His official NBA profile records him at 6 feet and 196 pounds.

Miami started the first half of the NBA with a modest opening, sitting at 12-10, with Lowry starting in all 21 games he appeared in.

Throughout 21 games played, Lowry has averaged 9.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.3 assists on the season.

Lowry has played 17 seasons in the NBA and won a championship in 2019 with the Toronto Raptors.

He has played for four teams and made over $275 million in his career.
