MAJOR UPSET: Fans slam LeBron James as NBA legend spotted ‘blaming youngsters’ after Lakers dealt historic humiliation

The blowout loss didn’t allow LeBron to celebrate a major milestone he reached during the clash with the Sixers

LEBRON James has suffered the largest loss of his NBA career.

The 19-time All-Star, 38, and his Los Angeles Lakers fell by 44 points to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday — and LeBron appeared to be seriously frustrated by the blowout.

The Sixers beat the Lakers 138-94 in Philadelphia with Tyrese Maxey leading all players in scoring with 31 points and Joel Embiid adding 30 together with 11 rebounds.

They outscored Los Angeles 40-14 in the fourth quarter alone, the largest point differential in any single period so far during the 2023-24 NBA season.

The rout eclipsed James’ previous worst loss, a 136-94 drubbing by the Indiana Pacers in 2018-19.

That 42-point defeat took place in the four-time NBA champion’s first season with the Lakers.

The following offseason, Los Angeles pulled the trigger on the Anthony Davis trade in a major roster reshuffle that led to the 2020 NBA championship.

The Monday loss saw the Lakers dip to 10-8 on the season, a disappointing record considering the team’s free-agent additions in the summer.

The Purple and Gold were deemed one of the winners of the 2023 offseason after keeping their core while signing Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, Christian Wood, and Taurean Prince.

James showed his frustration at the current state of affairs as the Sixers bulldozed the Lakers in the fourth.

The four-time MVP — who happened to become the NBA’s all-time leader in minutes played, including playoff games, during the clash — angrily gesticulated at his teammates as Philly kept getting buckets.

And asked how a team should respond to a blowout of such a margin after the game, he said: “I don’t know how a team [should].

“I can only speak for myself. I don’t like it.”

NBA fans didn’t like James’ reaction, calling him out for his body language on the hardwood and postgame quotes.

“I really hate LeBron’s attitude towards his younger teammates. He always blames them for everything. You never see Steph do stuff like this,” one wrote on X.

“There we go! LeBron already throwing teammates under the bus and accepting zero responsibility. As predicted! A LeBron special,” another added.

“About to get another coach fired,” a third said.

“This y’all goat,” one wrote.

However, others claimed LeBron only tried to motivate his fellow Lakers stars.
