However, he was unable to do anything about this crazy sequence which practically sealed the victory for Golden State (106-95). Sequence which obviously attracted a notable reaction from Steph, but also from the Houston winger, generally satisfied with his work on his opponent:

Apart from the last shot, I think I was in a good position to hinder him on all the others. But it shows that he is a great player. Even when he has a bad game, he is able to find a way to score shots at the end of the game and get his team out of a bad situation.

When I defend against the best opposing player, my mentality is to have the same mentality as he has to score baskets. If he has to work hard to create shooting position, I have to work as hard as him to make him take the hardest shots possible. And I think I did a good job on him tonight. What we missed was the switches. You have to know who is defending who and what kind of shot you want them to take.
