According to The Athletic, both the Lakers and the Warriors are not favorites to fight for the championship this campaign . Instead of them are the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets as the names to win the long-awaited title.

The alarming thing about each team’s situation is that they are not candidates to qualify for the postseason either. In the case of Los Angeles, they would be advancing to the Playoffs from the Play-In , while Golden State would have to work to get one of the spots in that instance , which grants the last two qualifiers.
