Travis Kelce reveals what he told Kadarius Toney after THAT incredible Chiefs touchdown was called offside vs. Bills… sparking Patrick Mahomes’ furious on-field meltdown

Travis Kelce has opened up on what he told Chiefs teammate Kadarius Toney in practice this week, after the wide receiver’s go-ahead touchdown vs. the Bills on Sunday was agonizingly called offside.

After being found by Patrick Mahomes, Kelce surged forward and threw an astonishing cross-field lateral to Toney for the wide receiver to score a touchdown with a minute left in the fourth quarter, putting the Chiefs ahead – only for the referees to correctly call Toney for offside.

Toney has come in for criticism for his error at such a vital stage of the game but speaking on his New Heights podcast this week, Kelce is not holding a grudge.

He said: ‘I went up to KT today and was like ‘man we had that place f***ing rocking’. Arrowhead was on fire after that play.

‘I was like “we’re just gonna have to do it again” big dog. Say what you want about him being in the neutral zone. You can’t put it in the refs hands in that position.

‘I love KT, if we get the opportunity again I’m gonna throw that s*** right into his chest again. I’ve got all the faith in the world in that dude. He’s one of our best players.

‘Watch what he does with the ball in his hands. All those people hating on KT right now, I’m not trying to hear it – you can f***ing miss me with it.’

Speaking to his brother Jason about the incredible play, he confirmed it was improvised.

‘No, (it was) on the spot,’ Kelce said. ‘Honestly man, it was such a bang bang.

‘I caught it turned upfield, knew I broke the contain angle of the guy chasing me, I knew KT was over there from the route he run and I knew if I could get him the ball, he could score a touchdown.

‘In retrospect, could you imagine if that… (didn’t work). You don’t see it everyday.’

Kelce said that he and his team could have responded better to the offside – they still had a minute left in the game to try and score and snatch a win – but ultimately lost 20-17.

‘We’ve been in a lot of f***ing close games and we have to find ways to win,’ Kelce said.

‘We still had two timeouts after that play. A lot of time to put up a field goal, get on a red zone. I didn’t play my best after those two plays.’
