WHO LET THE DOGS OUT? Kendrick Perkins in bizarre ‘barking’ moment live on ESPN’s NBA halftime show leaving viewers shocked

Kendrick Perkins’ outburst also shocked his co-hosts

ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins left viewers shocked after a bizarre live TV moment on Friday.

Looking to make a point about the “dogs” on the Philadelphia 76ers’ roster, the former NBA star turned to “barking” at his co-hosts.

At halftime between the 76ers and the Boston Celtics, Perkins, Malika Andrews, and Chiney Ogwumike addressed Philly’s slim 72-69 lead.

Andrews went on to attempt to ask Perkins about his trust issues regarding the Celtics.

But then out of the blue, Perkins suddenly began to bark at his colleagues.

Both Andrews and Ogwumike leaned back in their charges, visibly stunned.

Perkins then took over to praise the 76ers, explaining: “That’s the problem, that’s the problem.

“Patrick Beverley, a dog. De’Anthony Melton, dog. Paul Reed, dog. Marcus Morris, dog. Tobias Harris, a dog. [Robert] Covington, a dog.”

As for their viewers, they were equally taken aback by Perkins’ outburst.

One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Why is Kendrick Perkins barking on my timeline?”

A second said: “Kendrick Perkins is barking during the halftime show. No I’m not making this up.”

A third tweeted: “Just turned on ESPN and immediately heard Kendrick Perkins barking on live television.”

While a fourth replied: “Look at Malika man,” along with a laughing emoji.

As it turned out, however, the Celtics would end up defying Philly’s squad of ‘dogs’ to clinch the win, 125-119.

The Celtics will return to the court on Monday when they face the Indiana Pacers at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a spot in the In-Season Tournament Semifinals at stake.

Meanwhile, the 76ers have an extra few days to work on their barking before heading to the Capital One Arena on Wednesday to play the Washington Wizards.
