“LeBron Be Firing the Sh*t on His Coaches”: Lakers Urged to Fire Darvin Ham or Acquire a “Time Machine” to Rejuvenate King James

The Los Angeles Lakers have endured a horrid season so far. Their lofty preseason hopes of an NBA title appear to be drifting away with each passing game.

They need to promptly find a solution to their dismal string of performances if they still harbor ambitions of an NBA title. But the time is soon running out for them.

The Lakers have very few options to save their season from the disappointment of not making it to the playoffs.

With their performances not getting any better, many fans have called for the sacking of head coach Darvin Ham. But is that the right move?

DJ Wells calls for Darvin Ham’s sacking

It is no secret that the Lakers started their season with great promise, as they clinched the inaugural In-Season tournament in early December. However, since then, the Lakers’ form has been nothing short of abysmal.

In fact, they have recorded just 6 wins from 18 games. In the latest episode of the Club 520 Podcast, co-host DJ Wells stated that the Lakers need to get rid of Darvin Ham.

He said, “Darvin Ham got to go, even if ain’t his fault. LeBron be firing the sh*t out of his coaches. That’s the only thing is gonna have to change for it to be different.”

Wells also joked that the Lakers need a “time machine for LeBron to not be old”. However, the solution to the Lakers’ problems isn’t that simple, and firing Darvin Ham certainly won’t resolve their glaring inadequacies.

The Lakers’ front office needs to orchestrate clever trades in order to rejuvenate a Lakers roster devoid of confidence. With the trade deadline fast approaching, how can the Lakers improve their roster?

Can the Lakers still make it to the playoffs?

Despite their sub-par performances in recent weeks, the Lakers have shown their title credentials, as evidenced by their NBA Cup triumph. However, the current composition of the Lakers’ roster isn’t good enough to contend for an NBA title

. The Lakers lack quality bench options and good 3-point shooters. Moreover, recurring injuries to key players have also hampered their progress.

The Lakers have the 11th worst 3pt% in the league. They have shot 35.7% from beyond the arc. The Lakers’ hierarchy needs to quickly address these glaring issues. In recent weeks, reports have emerged that the Lakers are interested in Hawks’ guard Dejounte Murray.

While Murray’s acquisition would provide a boost to the Lakers’ title hopes, trading for the 1x All-Star won’t miraculously solve all of their problems. The Lakers need a complete roster overhaul.
