NBA LeBron James et Kevin Durant

NBA LeBron James and Kevin DurantNBA (DR)

A few days ago, Kevin Durant and the Suns took over the Lakers from a LeBron James in great difficulty. This duel won by the Slim Reaper also inspired a savage attack on a worshiper of his prestigious counterpart.

Friends in life, but rivals on the field. Kevin Durant and LeBron James met for the umpteenth time on the courts last Thursday, during the clash between the Lakers and the Suns. Shock in which neither of the two stars really stood out offensively. KD nevertheless came out with a big smile, his 18 points contributing to his team’s big victory (127-109).

Facing him, LeBron finally showed himself like most of his teammates, namely without inspiration or skill. It was therefore with 10 small points that he finished the match, his lowest total in a match since November 2021. A low performance which can partly be attributed to Durant… and which annoyed some. A fan of the King therefore attacked the latter on Instagram and received a scathing response:

Kevin Durant’s spicy statement after his duel against LeBron

@_.314badnews: Hooray… It took him 17 years to do this… At this point you select any stats… They’re not the same level… They never were… They never will be

Kevin Durant: I know someone who still has what happened on July 4, 2016 stuck in their throat. Let him create the reality he wants in his head to help him get through these tough times lol. You are out of date.

No doubt annoyed after seeing LeBron so ineffective in attack, the famous Internet user therefore decided to vent his frustration on the statistics… as well as on the Slim Reaper. Problem: he had probably forgotten that his target spends a good part of his free time on social networks. This innocuous comment in which he is not even mentioned did not escape his attention.

Uncompromising, Durantula therefore responded in his own way, that is to say without showing the slightest pity. In his eyes, his assailant’s bitterness towards him dates back to July 4, 2016, the date on which he announced his departure from OKC to join the Warriors. A much-maligned choice which, subsequently, indirectly deprived LBJ of two titles during the 2017 and 2018 Finals. It remains to be seen whether this resentment remains today.

After dominating LeBron James during the Suns’ victory against the Lakers, Kevin Durant was attacked by an Internet user. And as usual, he did not let it happen, notably recalling his two successes in the Finals against the King.
