NBA Trade Rumors: Darvin Ham’s Latest Remark on Lakers Locker Room Could be an Insight to Dejounte Murray Talks

The Los Angeles Lakers continue to struggle. After losing the previous two games, the Lakers managed to get a 112-105 victory tonight. But that does not provide even the slightest relief for a dominant franchise like LA, which ranks 10th with a 20-21 record. The locker room disconnect is another issue that is just bubbling over.

With team issues and the Lakers fans clamoring for Ham’s resignation, his latest comments throw light into what could be seen as another sign of a Dejounte Murray trade. According to Lakers Nation’s official X account, Ham reportedly said, “We have more than enough in that locker room to make some things happen.”

It’s no secret that LA has been actively considering the 27-year-old. A reliable point guard, Murray has no problem running the offense. And his shot-making is also excellent. He is averaging 20.8 points this season (FG – 46.7% and 38.6 3P%), 4.8 assists, and rebounds per game.

If the Lakers do manage to land Dejoute Murray, his defensive skills will help in taking a load off LeBron James as well. But it’s not easy. Many out there would love to get their hands on the versatile guard.

The Lakers can expedite the Dejounte Murray trade if they so wish

Brian Windhorst had reported that earlier in the season, there were trade talks between the Lakers and Hawks. But since they did not have any pieces they could put forward, it was decided that they would come back to the discussion once the trade restrictions on recently signed players were lifted.

And now with Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura off trade restrictions, LA is free to pick up from where they dropped off. There is no doubt that if the Purple & Gold want to acquire another star guard, Reaves, and Hachimura, along with D’Lo or Vincent will be a difficult offer to surpass.

Also, the Lakers might get some internal help with landing the agile All-Star. Murray is represented by Klutch Sports; the same agency representing LeBron James and Anthony Davis. So it won’t be surprising if there might be any moves from that side.

So many things to consider for the Los Angeles Lakers. But one thing is certain – a shuffle in the roster is necessary! What do you think? Will Murray be a good fit alongside James and AD? Drop the names of the players whom you think would help the Lakers out of their rut!
