Victoria Beckham has confessed she struggled to balance motherhood and her career when her children were younger.

The former Spice Girl admitted she and her husband David Beckham “didn’t have much of a social life” when they were raising their family.

The couple tied the knot at Dublin’s Luttrellstown Castle on July 4th, 1999 and now have raised four children.

Speaking with Nicole Kidman for Vogue Australia, Victoria confessed: “We woke up this morning and said, ‘We’re so proud of the kids, they’re such great, kind, sweet, humble, funny, hardworking young adults’.”

“Getting that balance is very difficult. I struggled with that a lot when the children were younger.”

“We’ve never had an enormous amount of staff, if you like. We do have nannies and we do have our parents, who have been amazing.”

“But you do feel like you’re juggling. You’re trying to be the best wife, the best mum, the best professional.”

She continued: “We didn’t have much of a social life when the children were younger, that is just that one thing too much.”

“Being a wife, mum and fulfilling your dreams in regards to what your passions are, and what you love to do in regards to work, was enough.”

“But then the kids get older and they flee the nest and have their own passions. Now myself and David are in the next chapter.”

Last month, David and Victoria recreated the photos from their Irish wedding to celebrate their 25th anniversary.

The couple wore matching ivory outfits for the ceremony, before they changed into head-to-toe purple satin outfits, which were designed by Antonio Berardi.

Taking to Instagram to mark their 25th wedding anniversary, David and Victoria dressed up in their famous purple outfits as they posed on the same velvet thrones from their original wedding pictures.

They captioned the post: “Look what we found… 😅💜.”
