When it comes to celebrity couples who got together in 2023, none have been making headlines quite as often as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, even though they just started dating — at least, as far as we know. And because Taylor has become such a fixture at Kansas City Chiefs games, that means many Swifties are also attempting to understand football for the very first time. That includes Travis’ niece, the daughter of brother and fellow NFL star Jason Kelce, and an adorable video of her mom trying to explain football to her like she would to a Swiftie is going viral.
@kyliekelce Just another swiftie tryna learn football, or a kid tryna avoid a nap. Who knows? #GoBirds
The video has amassed more than 7 million views on TikTok.
In the clip, Jason’s wife, Kylie, and their 4-year-old daughter, Wyatt, are sitting on the couch watching football together as she tries to answer her kiddo’s questions about the game.
Wyatt wanted to know a lot of things about what was going on out there on the field, including what the referee’s job was and who different players were.
It took someone special showing interest in the NFL to get Wyatt’s attention.
Considering that her dad plays for the Philadelphia Eagles, you’d think she would have shown an interest sooner, but apparently, it took Taylor showing up at the games for her to really get into it.
“Just another Swiftie tryna learn football, or a kid tryna avoid a nap. Who knows?” Kylie joked in the caption.

There have been a lot of memes about explaining football to Swifties.
Ever since Taylor showed up at her first Chiefs game last month, a lot of her fans have been attempting to learn what football is all about for the first time. This has led to quite a few memes explaining the game in simple terms — and even funny tweets from Swifties who are trying to understand what’s going on when their favorite blonde isn’t on the screen.
Wyatt might end up one very lucky girl.
If Wyatt truly does love Taylor — not that we’d blame her — it seems she may have the chance to spend a lot of time with her in the near future (if she hasn’t already). Taylor and Travis seem to have staying power as a couple. Is it too soon for Wyatt to start calling her Aunt Taylor?
Wyatt’s learning so much.
She’s asking all the right questions, after all — we saw it for ourselves in that video. Before long, she’ll be the one explaining football to little sisters Elliotte, 2, and Bennett, 8 months, who will be big enough to start asking questions of their own soon!
