The rapper and pop star briefly feuded in 2015, but they seem to have put the bad blood aside in the years since.
Could Nicki Minaj be collaborating with Taylor Swift?
The rapper certainly isn’t opposed to it, at least according to statements she shared with fans over the weekend.
The idea came about after the 41-year-old award-winning artist went on a social media spree gushing over the 12-time Grammy winner and congratulating Swift for being named Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2023.
“The SAG QUEEN TAYLOR DESERVES!!!! PERIOD!!!!! She takes months & years off then comes back with great music & fans who’ll never leave her!!!! The END!!!!!!!” Minaj began her series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
“I was simply discussing vinyls w/the barbz due to questions they had for me…” she continued, “We broke the record in vinyl sales for any female rap album in history. That means that retailers had no way of knowing that the vinyls would be in such high demand. Either way, now they do! That’s a marvelous thing! Taylor & her fans have put in the work. Now it’s our turn.”
“This is a CELEBRATION!!!!! I’m about to thank each & every artist on this album. But!!!! The point is that we have something to aspire to as we watch the SAG QUEEN Taylor & the swifties & Republic Records,” Minaj explained. “Any more questions on this? Who’d like to get cussed TF out?”
Eventually, one Barb (Minaj fan) asked the Queen of Rap, “Would you ever collab with Taylor Swift ? @NICKIMINAJ.”
The “Anaconda” songstress replied, “In a heart beat.”

Minaj’s response soon went viral, with several Barbz tagging Swift’s X account, hoping to get her attention—and maybe a collaboration, or at least, a special feature.
“@taylorswift13 HELLO JUMP ON YOUR PRIVATE JET AND FLY TO THE STUDIO,” one exclaimed before another similarly wrote, “OMG YES @taylorswift13.”
“What’s her number??? I’ll call her myself,” a third quipped.
Someone else shared a gif of Jennifer Love Hewitt in I Know What You Did Last Summer screaming, “What are you waiting for,” alongside the caption, “GET REPUBLIC ON THE PHONE NOW.”

This is the just the most recent instance confirming Minaj and Swift’s former beef is officially done and gone. For those that may not remember, the artists had a very minor feud nearly a decade ago, but they seem to have put the bad blood aside in time to co-host the 2015 MTV music awards.
During this past year’s Video Music Awards, Minaj even gave Swift a special shoutout, telling the audience, “That’s my favorite Sagittarius over there.”
It looks like Barbz and Swifties will just have to keep their eyes and ears open for what could be a super freaky love song featuring the two pop stars.
