During the season two premiere of Paris in Love, the  socialite opened up about her choice and confessed that she ‘would have loved’ being pregnant.

Because of her life in the spotlight, however, she and her husband, Carter, 42, opted to have their children via surrogacy instead.

‘The surrogacy process, it was definitely a difficult decision to make,’ she explained in the beginning of the debut episode.

The entrepreneur explained: ‘But my life has just been so public.’

She admitted on her reality TV show that she ‘would have loved that experience of growing the baby in your tummy and feeling the kicks and all of those exciting moments.’

Hilton said that out of precaution for their health and safety, she chose to have a surrogate carry and deliver their biological baby Phoenix.

‘So even though the baby is biologically mine and Carter’s, we decided to have a surrogate carry him,’ she explained.

In a confessional, her husband also echoed her concerns about their children’s safety and their family’s future.

She said: 'The one thing is being a working mom and balancing it all, I have a crazy schedule so I am learning to say no and trying to spend as much time as possible with my little ones'
