Taylor Swift took the time to personally respond to a Swiftie mom who posted an emotional TikTok video thanking the “Anti-Hero” singer for bringing her closer to her daughter.

The 34-year-old Grammy winner took to the comments of the clip to tell single mom Jenny that she had just reminded her “of why this year has been so special.”

“Hey Taylor! I’m Jenny. I’ve been a fan forever. We’re the same age, so I grew up with you,” Jenny started out the clip, adding that her now-9-year-old daughter has followed in her Swiftie footsteps.

“Earlier today, we were talking about how good this year has been,” Jenny continued. “She was like, ‘Mom, I’ve had more fun with you this year than ever before.’ And I know why.”

Jenny went on to talk about the special memories she and her daughter have made by attending Swift’s Eras Tour, seeing the concert film multiple times in theaters and at home, and belting along to her songs in the car.

“For my daughter to sit there and say, ‘I’ve had the best year with you.’ I’m a single mom. I work every day. That means so much to me,” Jenny said. “I think a lot of times you get a lot of s–t you don’t deserve, and I don’t think you get to see the impact you have on people.”

“You have brought my daughter and I closer together. … As a single mom who works so hard and tries so hard — to have this with her, it just means the world,” she concluded.

In response on Friday, Swift wrote, “I’m so moved by what you said. It reminds me of me and my mom and the memories we made at that age.”

The newly minted billionaire — who this month was also crowned Time’s Person of the Year and Spotify’s most-streamed artist of 2023 — has released several songs that pay tribute to her mom, Andrea. These go all the way back to the earliest days of the Swift archive, including “The Best Day” from sophomore album “Fearless” and, more recently, “Soon You’ll Get Better,” from her 2019 album, “Lover.”

In 2015, Swift revealed her mom had been diagnosed with cancer. After undergoing treatment, her cancer returned in 2019, at which point doctors also found a brain tumor as Andrea was going through chemotherapy.
