Ben Affleck has his wife and ex-wife at odds with each other

According to reports in the media, a habit that Ben Affleck can’t quit smoking and it is causing problems between between his current wife, Jennifer Lopez, and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner who he shares co-parenting duties with.

According to information from Star Magazine, Lopez and Garner have had their differences recently because the latter finds cigarettes ‘disgusting’ and has asked Affleck not to smoke while around her kids.

They have three children from their 14-year relationship that began in 2004. Violet Anne Affleck (18), Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck (14) and Samuel Garner (11) before he started dating Lopez again in 2021.

On the other hand, JLo thinks that cigarettes help Affleck calm his anxieties and keep him sober, and she’s willing to put up with the habit if it keeps him at bay from his other addictions. However, she also wants him to quit, as she is also bothered by cigarette smoke.

This has caused tensions between Garner and Lopez, with the former upset with JLo because according to her perception, she lets Affleck smoke whenever he wants and at whatever time he pleases, not knowing that it actually bothers JLo as well.

In fact, RadarOnline.com reports that Lopez can’t stand smoke and has asked Affleck that when he needs a cigarette, he should do it away from her or at least use nicotine gum to calm his need.

Cigarettes are famously bad for the body, causing a range of different cancers, leading to lung failure and even heart failure and actively avoiding smoking them isn’t enough.

Passive smoking refers to the inhalation of tobacco smoke when the smoke diffuses into the atmosphere forcing people present to inevitably breath it in.

It’s linked to nasal sinus cancer, throat cancer, larynx cancer, breast cancer and respiratory problems, with asthmatic people and those suffering from allergens being at even greater risk.
