Drew Brees Sends Stern Warning To Tom Brady About Retiring To The Broadcast Booth Amid Marital Issues (VIDEO)

If Tom Brady wants to save his marriage, then he may need to listen to what Drew Brees has to say.

After one unsatisfying season as an NFL broadcaster with NBC, Drew Brees is sending a stern warning for Tom Brady and his mega-contract that looms with Fox.

Brees joined The Dan Patrick Show Thursday and was asked if coaching could be in his future. The retired quarterback then spoke on leaving broadcasting after one year to spend more time with his family.

“Last year, I went the media route,” Brees said of his post-retirement career. “That was really enjoyable. I felt like I learned a lot…the reason I didn’t do that this year was simply because it was taking away all my weekends.”

His comments on the grueling schedule prompted Patrick to reference Brady’s plan to go straight from the field to the booth whenever he finally decides to retire from playing.

“If you’re going to do it right, you’re going to spend the same amount of preparation in preparing to broadcast the game, to do a three-hour production, as you would to play the game.

“It is definitely a commitment, and it takes more time than you think.”

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback and the Brazilian model, who have been married since 2009, began having issues after Brady decided to come out of his extremely short retirement from football, according to multiple reports. He originally announced that he was retiring from the NFL after 22 seasons on Feb. 1. Just 40 days later, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback announced he was coming back for at least one more season.

Bündchen expressed her concern about Brady returning to football in a recent interview with Elle magazine.

“Obviously, I have my concerns — this is a very violent sport, and I have my children, and I would like him to be more present,” she told the outlet.

“I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

It’s going to be very interesting to see whether or not Tom Brady sticks with his commitment to FOX amid all of the marital issues he has going on with Gisele.
