Elon Musk is slammed after X recruits Don Lemon for new show a year after CNN firing

ELON Musk has been slammed after it was revealed that X recruited Don Lemon for a new show a year after he was fired from CNN.

On Tuesday, it was announced that X, formerly known as Twitter, would be launching three new shows on the platform as it struggles to retain advertisers since Musk took over.

Former US congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard and sports radio commentator Jim Rome will have their own shows, joining ex-Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who launched his show on X last June.

This is also Lemon’s first major project since his firing from CNN last April.

“I’ve heard you… and today I am back bigger, bolder, freer!” Lemon, 56, tweeted. “My new media company’s first is The Don Lemon Show.”

Lemon said the show will be available everywhere but viewers will be able to “find it first on X, the biggest space for free speech in the world.”

“I know now more than ever that we need a place for honest debate and discussion without the hall monitors.

“This is just the beginning so stay tuned.”

In a tweet, Musk called the announcement, “Exciting!”

However, some users didn’t share the CEO’s enthusiasm, with one person writing, “Can Don compete with Tucker Carlson on X?”
