Musk continues to deal with the fallout from his remarks that perpetuated antisemitic ideology

TESLA has reportedly pulled Disney+ from thousands of vehicles, though there is a workaround for some.

The move comes as CEO Elon Musk continues to feud with Disney CEO Bob Iger.

Tesla reportedly informed Disney of its decision last week.

No reason has been given for Disney pulling the app from the vehicles.

But Electrek reported that days after its initial announcement of the removal, Tesla said it would only scrap the app for drivers who had never used it.

So Tesla owners who have used the app on their car’s console should be spared.

Since the announcement, many drivers have reported that the app is no longer on the Tesla Theatre.

“So Disney+ has now been removed from Tesla vehicles. I’m assuming this is in retaliation to Disney pulling advertising from X (which they have every right to do),” one user wrote.

“This comes off like a temper tantrum. And I feel like Tesla owners are now caught in the crossfire of something that is absolutely not their fault.”

Musk continues to deal with the fallout from his response to a post on X, formerly Twitter, that perpetuated antisemitic ideology.

The backlash began after Musk replied to a post that claimed Jewish communities have been “pushing hatred” against white people.

In a reply, he wrote: “You have said the actual truth.”

Musk continued by writing that “the [Anti-Defamation League] unjustly attacks the majority of the West, despite the majority of the West supporting the Jewish people and Israel.

“This is because they cannot, by their own tenets, criticize the minority groups who are their primary threat. It is not right and needs to stop.”

In the weeks following Musk’s comments, many major companies have pulled ads from the social media platform.

Disney pulled its ads from X in November.

Apple and IBM also stopped advertising on the platform, whereas Airbnb, Amazon, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and Netflix decided to limit or pause their ads.

Then, weeks later during a live interview when asked about the companies pulling back on ads, Musk told them to “go f**k yourself.”

But he then singled out Iger.

“Hey, Bob, if you’re in the audience. That’s how I feel, don’t advertise,” Musk said.

The Tesla CEO has since apologized for his initial antisemitic post, but has not done so for the other comments.

X stands to lose $75 million by the end of this year due to the boycotts, according to The New York Times.
