A questionable late penalty call against Atlanta killed any chance of a late-game rally in Tampa Bay.

Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jarrett was rushing Tom Brady when he got hold of him and sacked him. It was the perfect play, and somehow he got flagged for a roughing the passer penalty.

Grady Jarrett broke through the line and got to Tom Brady for what appeared to be a critical sack. Then, the flag fell:

As you can hear, in the booth FOX Sports analyst Daryl Johnson questioned the call, saying that it was “not in the spirit of the rule.”

Brady complained to the refs, and a flag flew, and just like that, the Bucs had a fresh set of downs.

After the game, Brady furthered upset fans with his response to what happened.

“I don’t throw the flags.”

Fans hated that response:

Brady threw for 351 yards and a touchdown, helping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers end a two-game losing streak with a 21-15 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Brady completed 35 of 52 passes without an interception, avoiding his first three-game losing streak since 2002 when he was a member of the Patriots.
