He’s my son, not Zeus’ Elon Musk’s dad Errol looks back on relationship after being portrayed as villain in CEO’s book
ELON Musk’s dad has looked back on a rollercoaster year that saw the pair air their differences before reuniting for the first time in seven years.
Retired electromechanical engineer Errol, 77, revealed that he met with three of his young grandchildren for the first time when he linked up with Elon at a SpaceX launch in Texas last month.

The surprise reunion came after the pair had publicly expressed several points of contention between them throughout 2023.
Errol was left furious after he was portrayed as the villain in his son’s life in a bestselling authorized biography of the Tesla CEO.
He disputed several of the claims made by author Walter Isaacson, who shadowed Elon for two years for his book but allegedly only spoke to Errol over the phone.
Earlier in the year Errol insisted that – contrary to Elon’s public denials – he can prove he once owned an emerald mine in Zambia and used the proceeds to help the X owner and his younger brother Kimbal.
Errol also told of his fears that he is going to be “crucified” in an upcoming biopic about Elon’s life.
Although their relationship has remained tense, just before Thanksgiving and while visiting the U.S., Errol received the invite to SpaceX’s Starship launch in Boca Chica.
Errol says that it meant he was able to meet his three-year-old grandson X Æ A-12, Elon’s eldest of three kids with musician Grimes, for the first time.
He was also introduced to Shivon Zilis, who is a director at Elon’s Neuralink firm, and the one-year-old twins, Strider and Azure, who she shares with him.
Asked if seeing Elon again had been an early Christmas present, Errol said: “The invitation from Elon was very nice, but not the best Christmas of my life.
“Elon is my son, not Zeus or something. We have shared many times together.
“This was special though, as he introduced me to Shivon, his twins with her and Xex.
“Shivon is a very pleasant lady. It was a very warm meeting all around.
“The kids sat on my knees as I sat on a low couch next to Elon.
“Elon’s well-being is what concerns me.
“I wish him strength of mind and strength of body in the time ahead.”
The last time Errol had been with his son was in 2016 in Cape Town, South Africa, when Elon, 52, and his brother Kimbal, 51, celebrated their dad’s 70th birthday with him.
He received the surprise invite to SpaceX’s Starbase facility while spending time with his ex-wife Heide and their two daughters Alexandra and Rose in Austin.
Errol told The U.S. Sun in September that he fears that his firstborn son could be assassinated for going up against the U.S. government.
He also hit back at claims in a bombshell report in The New Yorker that his son is on drugs and suffering from mental health issues.
Errol told The U.S. Sun in June that he believes Elon has put himself in a “no-win situation” with a proposed cage fight with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
He said that the “humiliation would be total” for Elon if he loses against Zuckerberg.
Errol also revealed that the proposed fight had been put in jeopardy by an old neck injury Elon suffered while skiing in Austria.
Errol also slammed an AI-generated pic of his son as “totally inaccurate” and shared childhood photos to prove his point.
Earlier this year, Errol told The U.S. Sun that his son is a “force for good” who believes that the internet would have been invented by the year 1900 if Napoleon Bonaparte hadn’t been defeated.
Last year The U.S. Sun revealed Errol had fathered a child with his stepdaughter Jana Bezuidenhout, and that he had been asked to donate sperm to impregnate high-class women in Colombia.
