In an appearance in Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, David Alan Grier was asked about his experience working with Robin Williams in Jumanji which also starred a young Kirsten Dunst. After initially joking how “working on that movie was hell”  , Alan Grier sang praises of his co star and recounts a hilarious anecdote involving the actor. He goes,
“I remember Robin was never in a bad mood … we would work 12-15 hours a day, then he would say, ‘David, you wanna go out in the club and do improv?’ And I was like, ‘Improv? I’m going to sleep.’”

Additionally, he recalls how starstruck he was when they first met on set and he would mess up his lines. He had to get over his nervousness in working together with someone as profound as Williams, so that the film could move on during production.
