Jennifer Garner, who gained critical acclaim with her 2013 film, Dallas Buyers Club, credits her co-star Matthew McConaughey for being her savior on the biographical drama’s set. The Mud actor, who won an Oscar for his role as real-life AIDS patient and advocate, Ron Woodroof in the Jean-Marc Vallée-directed film, came to Garner’s rescue, who wanted to quit the movie, because of her newly-bestowed motherhood.

The Elektra star expressed her ever-lasting love for the actor as she helped her with one of the biggest challenges she faced on the set of the 2013 hit. Graner revealed that she wanted to quit the movie because she couldn’t find time to breast pump for her son, Samuel Garner, who was born shortly before she signed for the role. She recalled:

“My b**bs were freaking out. It was bedtime, and we were doing some scene that was supposed to be light, and I started crying and I was like: ‘I have to quit. I have to go home and be with my kids. I just can’t do this anymore.’”

This was when the gentleman stepped in and saved the actress. She revealed that he declared to the crew, “We’re going to take a minute, I need a minute,” and sent her to the bathroom so she could pump breast milk. Since then, Garner, who shares three children with ex-husband, Ben Affleck, has kept the actor in high regard.
