However, the idea and perception of the ‘sexiest male actor’ of Millenials and Gen Z are a lot different when compared to their mums’.

In a surprising poll taken on Mother’s Day this year, over 2,000 mothers were asked to rate and share which actor they considered the ‘sexiest’ of all. While Tom Cruise, unsurprisingly, topped the list, the celebrated comedian and late actor, Robin Willams put a fierce competition, almost overthrowing the Mission: Impossible star from his first place.

Tom Cruise is the king of the box office as well as the king of the majority of ladies’ hearts. Even at the age of 60, he remains unstoppable. Despite his controversies, his charming looks and amazing physique continue to draw fans, making him a formidable contender when it comes to the sexiest male actor title.

Recently for Mother’s Day, Showcase Cinemas called up over 2,000 mothers to get their opinion on who is the sexiest male actor. Naturally, Tom Cruise was the one who ranked top. But the surprising element was that the late actor and celebrated comedian Robin Williams nearly had Cruise dethroned.

Ranking second on the list, he nearly beat Cruise. While many would certainly have him top the funniest male actor list, if there was such a list, the majority of us would never have imagined Williams ranking second on the sexiest male actor list.

Others on the list included names like Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, and even Bradley Cooper and Harry Potter fame Alan Rickman made the list.

It is no secret that Tom Cruise is the king of the box office. It was his Top Gun: Maverick which helped revive the box office after the destructive pandemic and lockdowns. And even though he won the crown for being the sexiest male actor of all time, none of his movies made it to the top ten favorite movies list.

In fact, none of the top ten sexiest male actors had their movies on the list. Instead, The Sound of Music was the one that topped the list. Well, this only proves one thing, being on the sexiest male actor list does not mean that one’s movie would be on the favorite list as well, for the audience really loves a good storyline.
