Roger Goodell Finally Breaks His Silence & Speaks About The Impact Of Taylor Swift On The NFL – TC
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell spoke about the effect that Taylor Swift has had on the attention of the league.
Whether or not you like the occasional shots of Taylor Swift cheering on Travis Kelce during Kansas City Chiefs games, there is no doubt that the mega pop star moves the needle.
Even Roger Goodell sees her impact.
“Having the Taylor Swift effect is also a positive,” he said. “Both Travis and Taylor are wonderful young people, they seem very happy. She knows great entertainment and I think that’s why she loves NFL football. I think it’s great to have her a part of it. Obviously it creates a buzz, another group of young fans. Particularly young women.”
Goodell also gave credit to the many close games this year as well.
“I would tell you it’s because of the great competition,” Goodell explained. “Listen, the competition has been off the charts this year. We’ve had 70% of our games have been within one score in the fourth quarter. I mean, you see all that (and) that’s what fans ultimately love.”

Across the league, there are fans who think that the NFL is scripted and the league has been pushing the Chiefs to be successful this year.
“I don’t think I’m that good of a scripter,” he said with a laugh. “Listen, there is no way that I could have scripted that one. Let’s just put it that way.”
He is, however, happy to reap the benefits of it all.
“She’s a remarkable performer. She knows great entertainment,” Goodell said. “I had the opportunity to go to two of her concerts with our girls, my wife. She’s the best of the best. And so having her come to NFL games, having her be a part of that is nothing but a positive.”
The Super Bowl is right around the corner, and people everywhere have been asking one burning question about the big game and that’s whether Swift will it.
Swift will be able to travel to Las Vegas to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce play in the Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs despite being scheduled to perform a concert in Tokyo, Japan, the night before.
Her appearance is so crazy that the Japanese embassy sent out a statement to reassure everyone that it is totally possible for Swift to make it back in plenty of time.
