Ben Affleck ‘begs’ Jennifer Lopez to stop as she ‘tramples’ over romance with new music
Ben Affleck has pleaded with his wife, Jennifer Lopez, to stop revealing intimate details of their relationship in her song lyrics.
The pair, who got married in July 2022 after getting back together nearly 20 years after they first split up, have given fans a peek into their marriage through Jen’s new Amazon Prime documentary, The Greatest Love Story Never Told.

In the film, they talk about romantic love letters that Ben wrote and which Jen kept in a memory book, leading her to lovingly call him “Pen Affleck”.
However, the singer has also used these letters as inspiration for her upcoming music, leaving actor Ben feeling ’embarrassed’ and ‘mortified’ as his private thoughts are made public.
The lyrics to Jen’s new single ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’, which is linked to the documentary, share explicit details of their love life.

An insider told Closer: “Ben had begged her not to go into such vivid detail, but Jen wasn’t hearing any of it.
“She was clear from the start that she’d share how passionate and intense their love story is but, for Ben, it’s too much. He’s feeling trampled on, not to mention embarrassed.”
They mentioned that the famous actor is feeling “uncomfortable” because Jen has taken the personal letters he wrote to her and turned them into song lyrics.
The insider added: “She can’t see that she’s embarrassing her husband. Either that, or she doesn’t care.”

Ben is also reportedly worried about the impact on his kids, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, whom he shares with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. His friends and family are “mortified” by Jen’s actions.
The source described the songs and the documentary as “a lesson in humiliation” for the award-winning actor, comparing Jennifer’s “shock value tactics like the Kardashians”.
In the Amazon Prime documentary, Ben talks about their relationship. He admits he was unsure about Jen sharing so much of their love story in her music.
On camera, Ben says: “I did really find the beauty and the poetry and the irony in the fact that it’s the greatest love story never told.
“And if you’re making a record about it, that seems kind of like telling it.”
