RENAISSANCE, Beyoncé’s seventh studio album, has broken a new Spotify record.
On July 29, the day of the record’s release, the streaming service revealed that the album had become the most-streamed album by a female artist on Spotify in a single day thus far in 2022. Although Spotify withheld their official data, rumors have it that RENAISSANCE broke the record with 43.25 million streams overall. Furthermore, every song on the album made their debut in the US Spotify top 25, with seven of them making it into the top 10.
In addition to being Beyoncé’s first solo full-length album since Lemonade in 2016, RENAISSANCE is the first of a trilogy of yet-to-be-announced albums. “Over the course of three years throughout the epidemic, this three-act production was recorded.
