So often a woman associated with elegance and luxury attire, Jennifer Lopez decided to go for a change in her style as she opted for a shabby look when shopping in New York.

It appears the Puerto Rican native, 54, is slowly embracing ‘Jenny from the Block’ – some 20 years after the hit song was released.

She took to the streets of the Big Apple on Sunday looking very chic in a casual ensemble while she shopped around.

Lopez wore a floor navy blue coat that nearly reached the floor with a lighter blue turtleneck underneath, which had a transparent fabric.

But the biggest talking point of her outfit were a pair of baggy jeans, designed by Acne Studios, which retail for $620. The 2023 design is features a mid blue color throughout with a washed effect – giving it the illusion that there is dirt smudged across the femur area.

The actress accessorized her look with oversized blue gradient square sunglasses, a teal Chanel baguette purse and pointed-toe suede heels of the same color.

And in true J-Lo style, the ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ popstar completed her look with a pair of gold hoop earrings, with some rings on her hands to showcase her bling. Lopez also styled her hair in a slick bun, which showcased her bronzed makeup.

A busy week for Jennifer Lopez

The look didn’t last long, as J-Lo swapped her ordinary, everyday look for something more glamorous in the evening as she stepped out for a night out on the town with her friends.

She shared an Instagram post of her low-key “Girls Night Out” look, with her husband Ben Affleck seemingly kept out of the events.

Her busy weekend visit in Manhattan comes after she was spotted house-hunting throughout the city on April 3, having viewed a townhouse in the city.

But don’t worry, even if she lives in a highrise, multi-million dollar penthouse, she’s still Jenny from the Block.
