Richard Branson purchased one of the British Virgin Islands for just $120,000 in 1979.
The billionaire’s Necker Island is renting out his luxurious tropical oasis for a staggering $118,500 per night, according to Onefinestay.
The Virgin Group founder has welcomed a slew of A-list guests on the stunning property over the years, including the late Princess Diana and her sons, Prince Harry and Prince William, along with Barack and Michelle Obama, Kevin Costner, Harry Styles, Kate Winslet, Oprah Winfrey and more.

Now, anyone (with up to 47 friends) can stay on the 74-acre island, if their budget allows.
Guests on the island will reside in the central Great House, a resort-style mega-mansion featuring 17 gorgeous bedrooms — seven of which have king-size beds and the others with the option of king beds, twins or bunk beds — and 24 bathrooms.
Several of the coastal-style bedrooms have balconies with outdoor showers overlooking the white sandy beaches and the primary suite boasts a lavish private jacuzzi on a spanning terrace.

Glamorous open-air living spaces and recreational rooms with games like chess and billiards allow for a total subversive experience with nature.
The estate also features a private gym equipped with top-of-the-line equipment where fitness gurus have the option to take sunset yoga and Pilates classes.
There is also a tranquil wellness center offering Aromatherapy Associates spa treatments and two tennis courts for those who want to work up a sweat behind the net.

A massive infinity pool overlooks the water and is encircled by several lounge areas, cabanas and outdoor bars.
“Meals may also be taken at a sushi bar beside the infinity-style swimming pool or beachside, with the cuisine changing daily,” according to Onefinestay’s website. “All the while, thoughtful measures, such as renewable energy sources, and biofuel golf buggies reduce Necker’s eco-footprint.”
The luxurious property is surrounded by the clear blue Caribbean sea and a vibrant coral reef perfect for guests to explore with on-site snorkeling.

“I rang up an estate agent … I pretended I wanted to buy an island [in the Virgin Islands] and they said, ‘Well come on down. We’ll send you two tickets, we’ll find a helicopter, we’ll lay on a house for you,’” he recalled at the time.
“I then rang [Templeman] back and said, ‘I’ve got a spare ticket, would you like to come down?’ and so she did come down and we found this beautiful island where we live now.”
The couple tied the knot in 1989 and welcomed three children: Holly, Sam, and Clare, who died at just a few days old in 1979.
