(TC) Tom Brady applauds the success of his niece Maya – The star outfielder was called up to the USA Softball Team
Tom Brady stood out for much more than his numbers on the field. The former New England Patriots quarterback also showed himself to be a family man, as he demonstrated again by applauding the latest accomplishment of his niece, softball player Maya Brady.
Maya is the daughter of Maureen Brady, the eldest of Tom’s sisters. Maya has been playing softball since she was four years old and is currently the star outfielder for the UCLA Bruins. She was named Pac-12 Player of the Year in 2023 and is a two-time First Team All-American and First Team All-Pac-12 nominee, both in 2021 and 2023.
Maya Brady’s achievements earned her a call to the United States team that will defend the title won in 2022. The US squad advanced to the final of the tournament that will be held from July 15 to 21, 2024, in Italy.

Tom Brady’s support
The seven-time Super Bowl champion shared the original USA Softball post announcing the team members that will defend the 2022 title. In the post, one can see that Maya will be one of the three starting outfielders, along with Amanda Lorenz and Haylie McCleney.
In addition to the awards that adorn her display cases, Maya’s numbers also support her appointment. She only appeared in 33 games this season, but her batting average was .398, with 10 home runs and 38 RBIs. Last season, Maya Brady hit .443, with 18 home runs and 59 RBIs.

This has not been the only time Brady has supported his niece. In April 2023, the former quarterback attended the game between the Bruins and the Arizona State Sun Devils. He even posted a photo next to Maya to his Instagram Stories.
Brady has already made history in the NFL due to his stats and the number of awards he accumulated in his career, always with the support of his family. Now is the turn for the rest of the Brady clan to shine in their respective activities while Tom supports them from the sidelines.
