Adam Sandler is going through what all dads go through when they have teenagers: suffer.

On Monday evening while at the premiere for sci-fi drama Spaceman at The Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles he relayed his gripes in an interview shared by People.

Turns out the 57-year-old actor’s two daughters Sadie, 17, and Sunny, 15, whom he shares with actress wife Jackie, 49, more or less tune him out.

‘They still don’t talk to you. They go do their thing,’ he said after he was asked if his kids warm up to him more when they work together – Sunny has a part as Anna in his film Spaceman.

He added: ‘They do the best they can, and then they go do their life. I am on the side going, “Love you.” I say I love you a lot to them.’

He has cast his kids before: last year they starred in You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah.

His girls looked great at the premiere.

His daughters and wife could have passed for sisters as they dressed to the nines for the star-studded event.

Jackie looked incredible in a black backless gown which boasted a sequined butterfly shape top.

She elevated her frame in a pair of towering silver heels and accessorized with a pair of simple drop earrings.

Meanwhile their youngest daughter Sunny looked glamorous in a strapless leopard print maxi dress which she teamed with black heels.

Opting for a black leather minidress, the couple’s older daughter Sadie looked stylish as she teamed the number with tights and towering heels.

Adam, who portrays Jakub in his new filming, is sent on a mission to the edge of the solar system leaving his pregnant wife Lenka Procházka, played by Carey Mulligan, behind.

Spaceman is a Netflix adaptation of the novel Spaceman of Bohemia by Czech writer Jaroslav Kalfař and is set to be released on Netflix on March 1.

Spaceman tells the story of a Czech astronaut sent on a lengthy mission into outer space while his life on Earth slowly fades away.

Emmy Award winning Chernobyl director Johan Renck is behind the camera for the movie.

In December, Netflix unveiled the first teaser for Spaceman, in which the Czech astronaut discovers a talking giant alien spider called Hanuš that may or may not be imaginary.

‘Just like you, I fled my planet,’ Hanuš – voiced by Paul Dano – tells Jakub in a forest during the 20-second preview.

‘Through galaxies, through black holes, through time. And then I found… you.’

The mysterious ancient creature becomes Procházka’s unlikely companion in the sci-fi film, and the two ‘form an intense and emotional bond’ over philosophical conversations.

Adam’s orphaned character regrets leaving his devoted wife Lenka (Carey) behind to embark on the dangerous solo mission to Venus, and he clashes with secret Russian rivals.

In November the family was seen at the premiere of Netflix‘s Leo at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood.

The women were all in fancy dresses as they stormed the brown carpet while Adam, as usual, dressed way down.

All three ladies voice characters in the animated movie that has Adam as star. Sandler talked to People about what a great time he has working with clan: ‘It’s always fun to be with my family,’ noted the Hollywood veteran.

And he is happy his teen girls are following in his footsteps: ‘It’s kind of what they are thinking about getting into and their passion, and so it’s good to learn with them.’

And he shared the advice he gave his girls.

‘I tell them to make sure you feel good about what you do and how hard you worked, and you judge yourself,’ he revealed.

‘Don’t let too many people try to get in your head. If you feel like you gave it your all, that’s all you can ask.’

Sadie and Sunny Sandler have starred in the 2023 film You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah.

The fun Netflix film is about one of his daughters who catches her best friend kissing her high school crush. Revenge and growing pains follow amid a slew of well-timed jokes that make the Sandler girls look good in their first big film roles.

The girls were also in Paris for a photo call and screening of Adam’s movie Murder Mystery 2 in Paris.

They posed with dad at the event that included Jennifer Aniston and Melanie Laurent.

Sadie was seen on stage as her father was honored with the 24th Annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Sadie wore black as she beamed at her dad, who was dressed up in a suit and tie.

Sadie first was seen on screen in her dad’s 2008 movie You Don’t Mess With The Zohan; she played the Girl Riding On Goat.

Then she popped up as the Sweetest Medieval Girl Of All Time in 2008’s Bedtime Stories and was Tardio’s daughter in Grown Ups.

In 2011’s smash hit comedy Just Go With It with Aniston, Sadie played a girl on the rope bridge.

That same year she was the little girl on the ship in Jack And Jill.

In 2012 she was the lemonade stand kid in That’s My Boy and had the voice of young Mavis in Hotel Transylvania (Selena Gomez played the teen Mavis).

In 2013 she played Sadie Tardio in Grown Ups 2 and the next year she was a little league announcer in Blended.

In 2015 she popped in three films: Pixels, Hotel Transylvania 2 and The Ridiculous 6.

After then she was in The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler, The Week Of, and Hotel Transylvania 3 over the next few years.

In 2019 she played Summer in Murder Mystery with Aniston.

After that she was seen in The Wrong Missy and Hubie Halloween as Danielle.

In her next film, You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah! she will have a bigger role as Ronnie Friedman.

And she will voice a character in the 2023 film Leo.

In September it was revealed that You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah! will also star Sadie’s sister Sunny as well as Adam’s wife Jackie.

You Are SO Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah will reunite Sandler with his costar Idina Menzel, who played his wife in his critically acclaimed thriller Uncut Gems.

Traffic actor Luis Guzmán will round out the adult cast members.

The film will be directed by Sammi Cohen, with Alison Peck handling the adapted screenplay.

Sadie and Sunny are set to both earn $65,000 on their father’s coming-of-age comedy, according to legal documents obtained by The Blast.
