It looks like Chris Brown might be ready to bury the hatchet with Usher nearly a year after they allegedly fought each other.

Following the Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show on Sunday night, February 11, Brown took to his Instagram Stories and reacted to Usher Raymond’s performance. The 11:11 singer simply tagged Usher in a black background with a single fire emoji. Brown kept his post brief but it was enough to signal that there might be an opportunity for the powerhouse artists to resolve their issues in the future. Breezy’s supportive post comes months after they reportedly got into a physical altercation.

Usher and CB were cool with one another up until last May. Usher threw a surprise birthday party for Brown at the Skate City roller rink in Las Vegas. During the event, Teyana Taylor was in the building and Brown tried to speak with her. After she reportedly curved him, Brown got upset and started yelling. According to video TMZ obtained at the time, Usher tried to diffuse the situation, but things turned left once they took the conversation outside.

Brown and his entourage were accused of fighting the “GLU” singer in front of the venue away from the public eye. There’s no video that shows what happened afterwards, but Usher reportedly returned to the venue with a bloody nose. Neither artist spoke about the situation, however, they did appear at the Lovers & Friends festival the following day.

Despite the reports, Usher showed off his face, which appeared untouched with zero welts. Prior to the incident, Usher had just told Big Boy about a potential Verzuz between him and Breezy. He also declared that he loved Brown and his music. It’s not clear whether Usher still feels the same today.
