She flashed her signature wit by adding: ‘What year is it that we met in the news room? 1922?’

Drew mentioned she was heading to a yoga class when the film unexpectedly appeared on TV, leading her to reschedule and attend a later class.

The end of Drew’s video showed her panning the camera to her TV, which showed the iconic scene at the end of the film, in which Robbie (Sandler) serenades Julia (Barrymore) on a plane to Las Vegas, successfully winning her heart.

In the comments section of her Instagram post, Adam replied, writing, ‘Love u always Drew. Happy New Year.’

Drew’s social share went viral not only for her sensitivity and vulnerability but also for the size of her television. Fans couldn’t help but comment on its relatively small size, considering her status as a celebrity.

One follower wrote on Twitter, ‘Why is drew barrymore’s tv so small and bad. What’s going on. I’m unsettled,’ as another posted, ‘I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Drew Barrymore’s TV’

A third chimed in: ‘Next time someone makes fun of my small tv ill just say its the drew barrymore aesthetic’.

In The Wedding Singer, Adam portrayed Robbie, a wedding singer in 1985 left at the altar by his longtime girlfriend, causing him to lose faith in love. Enter Drew’s Julia, a cheerful woman Robbie meets while she works as a waitress at a wedding gig.

Although they started as close friends, things between them took a turn, getting more complicated because Julia was engaged, and Robbie still had feelings for Linda.

As mentioned, Robbie and Julia end up finding their happily ever after together.

Drew and Adam have an incredible movie-making history together, as they went on to star together in two more romantic comedies: 50 First Dates (2004) and Blended (2014).

The renewal follows a bit of drama for The Drew Barrymore Show.

Drew initially declared a return on Sept. 18, even as the writers were still on strike.

However, the decision was later reversed amidst picketing of the show and protests from WGA members.
