Many people around the world take basic healthcare facilities for granted. However, in a remote village in Nepal, basic healthcare facilities and electricity are considered a luxury. Due to the lack of government initiative and difficult terrain, many villages have incomplete healthcare centres. Recently, Beast Philanthropy, the charitable arm of MrBeast channel took it upon themselves to renovate and power a hospital in one such village. In the video, MrBeast aka Jimmy Donaldson, explained that without electricity the doctors in the hospital had to perform emergency procedures using flashlights. The lack of proper equipment also means that people have to make a 7-hour trip to the nearest health centre with facilities.

Beast Philanthropy worked with non-profits GivePower and The Green Program on this project as they fitted the hospital with solar power panels and installed indigenously made baby warming machines that can save the lives of newborns. These infant warming machines are called Nyano Nani which means “Warm Baby” in Nepali. They are developed by Sanjay, a local engineer who works with GivePower. The Beast Philanthropy also bought 10 Nyano Nani machines from Sanjay and his team that they aim to install in different local health centres.
