YouTuber MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, recently left his 212 million subscribers in awe with his latest daring stunt – getting buried alive for a week.
In a video that has garnered over 57 million views, MrBeast’s underground adventure not only pushed the boundaries of entertainment but also took a toll on his mental and physical well-being.
The 25-year-old social media star, who is reportedly earning between $3 to $5 million per month in ad revenue, is renowned for his extravagant challenge videos.
From counting to 100,000 to constructing “Resident Evil”-style “laser mazes,” MrBeast’s content continually ups the ante. However, his most recent endeavor involved a jaw-dropping feat inspired by Uma Thurman’s character in “Kill Bill.”
To embark on this subterranean journey, MrBeast was first lowered into a state-of-the-art transparent coffin equipped with essential supplies like food and water. The coffin was also outfitted with cameras to document the entire experience and ensure his safety. Then, with the assistance of an excavator, 20,000 pounds of dirt were carefully dumped on top of the coffin, sealing MrBeast beneath the surface for seven days.
“I’m entrusting my life to this coffin for the next seven days,” declared Donaldson from inside his temporary underground chamber. Despite all the precautions and safeguards in place, the seven-day ordeal proved to be a significant psychological challenge for the daredevil. Donaldson broke down in tears multiple times during his voluntary entombment, including when he was finally released from the coffin.
One major concern throughout the experience was the possibility of blood clots forming in his legs due to prolonged confinement in a confined space. Fortunately, this fear did not become a reality, and MrBeast emerged from his self-imposed grave unscathed.
By completing this incredible stunt, he shattered his previous record set in 2021 when he was buried alive for 50 hours. Beyond his hair-raising stunts, MrBeast is known for his philanthropic endeavors, although some have been met with controversy.
In fact, some netizens took to social media to slam him for his latest stunt, with one Twitter user writing: “This is so dangerous. Its a big damage to his mental health. Youtubers risk their lives for views. Crazy.”
