BREAKING: Colts Release Statement Following Reports Of Jim Irsay’s Suspected Drug Overdose

The Indianapolis Colts have released a statement following reports of owner Jim Irsay being hospitalized for a suspected drug overdose.

Irsay was reportedly found unresponsive in his home last month, with authorities citing the above reason.

“Irsay was unconscious with abnormal breathing (agonal breathing), a weak pulse, and he was cold to the touch,” an officer who responded to the call was reported as saying by FOX 59.

He was taken to the hospital after he was given a dose of naloxone which he offered a “slight response” to.

With news of this breaking today, the team has released a statement in which it claims that Irsay is continuing to recover from a respiratory illness, adding that they will not comment further on his health.

“Mr. Irsay continues to recover from his respiratory illness,” it reads. “We will have no further comment on his personal health, and we continue to ask that Jim and his family’s privacy be respected.”

It appears fans aren’t prepared to accept this from the team.

“I feel bad for the guy but there is no privacy ur a public figure who takes tax dollars I/we invest in Jim Irsay and the colts we have the right to know if those tax dollars he takes go on drugs sorry but that’s the truth and I’m a die hard colts fan,” one wrote in response.

“Screw his privacy. As long as Hoosiers are paying for his stadium he should be accountable to them!” another wrote.

TotalProSports wishes Irsay the best amid his recovery.
