BREAKING: Sports Doctor Presents Worrying Prognosis On Bronny James And How Recent Medical Emergency Could Affect His Basketball Future (VIDEO)

Bronny James has been discharged from the hospital following a serious health scare, with the USC freshman collapsing in practice on Monday due to cardiac arrest.

Of course, basketball will be the furthest thing from his mind right now. However, there are concerns over whether or not he will be able to continue playing on the back of such a worrying incident.

According to popular sports doctor Brian Sutterer, there is a legitimate chance that Bronny doesn’t return to basketball as failure to find the exact cause of his heart stopping could mean the risk of another occurrence.

“There are some causes of cardiac arrest that you find the exact cause, and it still isn’t necessarily safe to return to sports because the risk is so high of having another cardiac arrest and potentially dying,” Sutterer said in a YouTube video.

“If they don’t find an exact cause and you don’t really know what happened, you have to have that discussion of what exactly are the risks of going back out there and playing. Extremely serious situation we’re dealing with, then legitimately something that affects the rest of his career depending on what we discover and depending on what they have to do about it.”

Bronny recently joined the Trojans, having committed to the University of Southern California back in May. He was expected to be a one-and-done case, with his father LeBron James keen on playing alongside him in the NBA.

LeBron has already achieved everything there is to in basketball, having passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the league’s all-time scorer last season. So, should it turn out that Bronny isn’t able to continue playing, he could consider retiring.
