Justin Bieber has threatened to make his Instagram private after his followers began posting ‘hateful’ comments about his rumoured new girlfriend Sofia Richie.

The singer said the hate for the 17-year-old model was ‘getting out of hand’, prompting Selena Gomez to tell her ex-boyfriend to simply stop posting the photos.

Bieber wrote: “I’m gonna [sic] make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand, if you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”

Gomez then commented under the post: “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you. They were there for you before anyone.”

The Baby singer responded he thought the comments were ‘sad’, writing back: “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love.”

He added: “I’m not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u [sic] all can be kind to my friends and each other. And yes, I love all my beliebers.”

Gomez then accused Bieber of cheating on her when they were dating, hitting back: “Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. All love.”

It sparked the hashtag #SelenaEndedJustinParty on Twitter

Selena then uploaded a photo collage of her fans with the caption: “My whole life. You matter most. Thank you letting me do what I love every day.”

Meanwhile, a mother has thanked popstar Bieber for meeting her terminally ill daughter and making her ‘wish come true’.

Heartbroken Pam Drew shared a photo of the singer with her daughter, Karlee, who died following a battle with myelodysplastic syndrome, a bone marrow and blood disorder which later turned into acute myeloid leukaemia.

The girl from Rochester, New Hampshire, got to meet her idol back in May through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and was the “happiest her mother had seen in a long while”.
