Selena Gomez has reportedly checked out of rehab, E! News reports.

The 26-year-old singer was admitted into a psychiatric facility in late September, after experiencing an emotional breakdown. In the weeks leading up to her rehab stint, Selena was reportedly hospitalized on multiple occasions after experiencing complications from her 2017 kidney transplant. Her white blood cell count was said to be dangerously low, and unfortunately did not improve in the following days.

Sources said the medical scare caused Selena to “freak out,” so much so she allegedly tried to rip IVs out of her arm. Soon after the incident, Selena entered an East Coast rehab center to receive dialectical behavior therapy.

“Selena is out of her treatment program in NYC and is doing much better,” a source told E! News on Wednesday. “[She is] refreshed and is in a better head space.”

The insider said Selena is now back at home and intends to lay low before returning to work. She will still check in with medical “professionals, as her health battle is ongoing.”

Selena spoke about undergoing dialectical behavior therapy in a 2017 interview with Vogue.

“DBT has completely changed my life,” she told the magazine. “I wish more people would talk about therapy. We girls, we’re taught to be almost too resilient, to be strong and sexy and cool and laid-back, the girl who’s down. We also need to feel allowed to fall apart.”
