Taylor Swift, known for her refined and elegant public image, doesn’t appear to be the type to accidentally let one rip on live television. However, there’s some rather conspicuous evidence suggesting that Swift indeed let out an audible toot while on air during the live pre-show for the MTV Video Music Awards.

Swift was introducing the premiere of her “Wildest Dreams” music video when, just after her announcement, something unexpected happened. It appeared and sounded like a fart. Despite the unmistakable noise, MTV denied it was a fart. A network representative told TMZ that due to the position of Swift’s microphone, there would be “absolutely no possibility” of it capturing such a noise. Officially, the noise resembling a fart was attributed to a technical glitch.
