‘The View’ co-hosts blast ‘disrespectful’ Madonna for late concerts: ‘Flipping off your fans’ /d
“The View” co-hosts won’t be attending any Madonna shows anytime soon — especially if they start two hours late.
The women of the daytime talk show voiced their opinions Friday on the lawsuit filed by two New York men upset that Madonna, 65, took to the stage at her Dec.13 “Celebration Tour” concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn two hours after the time printed on their tickets.
“I personally wouldn’t wait two hours to get a hot oil massage from George Clooney, much less a concert by anybody,” panelist Joy Behar spearheaded the conversation.
Sunny Hostin, however, claimed Madge’s tardiness is part of her “allure,” and that concertgoers should prepare for her concerts like tourists do in Times Square for New Year’s Eve.
“I don’t think she should be sued,” Hostin said. “This is baked into Madonna. She’s an icon. She’s always late … When you go to a Madonna concert, you know you have to eat before, you have to get lit before, and you’re going to wait about two hours and listen to a DJ.”

But she did admit, “John Legend’s on time. J.Lo’s on time. Beyoncé’s on time.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in with a personal anecdote, calling her Madonna concert the “best live show I’ve ever been to,” but also saying she had a friend who had to leave the show to get home to relieve her babysitter.
“She saw 20 minutes of the set and had to leave. It’s just disrespectful to an audience that loves you and spent a lot of money to be there,” she said to the audience’s applause.
Meanwhile, Sara Haines was having none of the excuses.

“Insert any person’s name who are two hours late. It’s disrespectful,” she said. “You’re literally flipping off your fans who paid to come and watch you. You can be a diva. You should not act like a diva. To me, Madonna is not there.”
She continued, “Beyoncé? Always on time. Taylor Swift, Pink, that’s called respectful. It’s how you’re raised. You respect someone’s time the way you expect them to respect yours. You showed up here. They paid hundreds of dollars.”
Madonna, as well as the lawsuit’s co-defendants Live Nation and the Barclays Center, have yet to address the lawsuit. The Material Girl did respond to a prior lawsuit over her tardiness in 2019, telling the concert crowd, “A queen is never late.”
