It’s said that there is no greater bond between a person and their pet, and this is proven true by some of the planet’s biggest stars.

No stranger to splashing snaps of their pets all over social media, it seems some stars love their furry friends so much, they bear a hilarious resemblance to them.

Names including Henry Cavill, Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift regularly share snaps of their pets online, with some showing their amusing similarities.

Many stars happily share the close bond they share with their animals, as they offer welcome solace from their busy schedules.

But which stars bear the biggest resemblance to their furry friends? MailOnline has a list of the top names and their pet pals…
Taylor Swift

Any Swiftie knows that Taylor is a proud cat parent to three felines: Benjamin Button, Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson.

The star named her pets after her favourite TV characters, Olivia Benson from Law and Order: SVU, Meredith Grey from Grey’s Anatomy and Benjamin Button from the film of the same name.

Thanks to her blonde tresses, the singer does bear some resemblance to her trio of pets, admitting herself in 2014 that she is a proud ‘cat lady.’

In an interview she said: ‘[I talked with] friends about it and before I got the second cat. I was really kinda canvassing everyone I knew, going, ‘Is cats … cat lady?

‘Or, you know, two cats is cats and there’s more than one?” she explained. ‘And they’re like, ”No, three cats is a cat lady. Two cats is a party.”’

Taylor’s cat Olivia is also one of the wealthiest pets in showbusiness, according to the pets Rich List, her net worth is $100 million.
Henry Cavill

The Witcher star Henry has previously shared snaps of his beloved Akita Kal, describing him as his best friend who has ‘saved his emotional and psychological bacon many times.’

Appearing on Lorraine, the Superman star brought the American Akita breed along with him and spoke about their ‘inseparable bond.’

He said: ‘He really is my best friend, we go everywhere together.’

He continued, ‘He’s eight now and he has saved my emotional and psychological bacon plenty of times. We have an incredibly close bond’.

‘He [Kal] kind of gets it. He senses it when I’ve got my own stuff on, he’ll be close – he’s almost always close, but he’ll be closer.’
Nicole Kidman

In 2019, Nicole revealed that she’d become a dog owner for the first time after adopting an adorable poodle named Julian.

His sweet red curled hair bears a sweet resemblance to Nicole’s auburn tresses which she’s sported throughout her career.

Her husband Keith Urban gushed about the new addition in an interview on iHeartRadio, saying: ‘We got a dog! [Nicole’s] first-ever dog, ever! I’ve had dogs all my life, but never anything this small. He’s a big hit!’

Of course Nicole is no stranger to owning animals, having revealed in the past she had three cats while growing up in Australia, called Priscilla, Chauncy and Gregory.
Reese Witherspoon

Oscar winner Reese is one of Hollywood’s biggest dog owners, and regularly fills her Instagram with sweet snaps of her pet pooches.

She has four puppies: Labrador Hank, American bulldog Lou, French bulldog Minnie Pearl and black Labrador Major.

In addition to her recently shared post, the Draper James founder has always proved she has been an avid animal lover with various dog photos decorating her social media feeds.

The star also has a habit of naming her pets after famous stars, and previously had a pet named after Frank Sinatra.

Sadly, Reese lost her beloved Frenchie Pepper, in October 2020, posting a sweet tribute to him on Instagram.
Kendall Jenner

Model Kendall has regularly shared images of her Doberman, Pinscher Pyro, and he even became a fixture in one of her fashion shoots, when she posed for Burberry in 2021.

Jenner and Pyro have been practically inseparable, since she introduced him to fans in May 2018.

In 2020, Kendall faced backlahh from other pet owners for seemingly using a ‘painful’ pronged collar on her dog.

Furious Twitter users claimed the pronged collar is ‘painful’ for dogs, and accused Kendall of being ‘gross’ and ‘cruel’ for making her pet wear one.

It was unclear if Kendall has tried other training methods before settling on this one, but angry Twitter users were quick to accuse her of inhumane treatment.

In 2018, TMZ reported that the dog allegedly bit a little girl at a restaurant. There were no obvious puncture wounds, but the police were called to the scene.

A source close to Kendall denied this, telling TMZ that the dog never made contact with the girl.

Zendaya

Zendaya is the proud owner of black Miniature Schnauzer named Noon, with its dark tresses akin to her own glossy locks.

Like many other celebrities, the Spiderman star regularly posts images of the dog, who has his own Instagram account, even sharing the moment he braved stepping into the swimming pool for the first time.

She wrote: ‘Anyone who knows Noon knows he does not f*** with the pool (so proud mom moment) he got to the first step all on his own.’

Zendaya received her black, miniature schnauzer as a gift back in 2015.

She has also been seen enjoying a dog walk with her boyfriend Tom Holland and his parents pets in west London.

In 2022, it was reported that the couple had adopted a pitbull named Pistachio.
