FILM Star Halle Bailey has been spotted potentially using a clever trick to hide a big announcement from her fans.

The 23-year-old was pictured looking glamorous at the movie premiere of The Colour Purple on the ‘purple’ carpet.

Halle wore an oversized red gown that flowed down to the ground.

The top of the dress cut into a halter neck and clung tightly to her chest and showed off her body.

Halle’s gown then cinched at the waist before cascading in a sea of ruffles.

The dress strategically hid her stomach as it flowed out, which could obscure a potential baby bump.

Halle paired the look with glam make up and a pair of silver earrings.

Her hair was braided and pulled back from her face, which showed off her bold red lip.

The Colour Purple premiere took place in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

The star rubbed shoulders with other stars, such as Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg and Danielle Brooks.

Rumors have been circulating recently that the Little Mermaid star might be pregnant.

PREGNANT?

It’s not the first photo the actress has posted that left people guessing.

Fans started speculating that the Little Mermaid star was pregnant back in August after she was spotted wearing baggy clothing.

They believe she and her YouTuber-turned-rapper boyfriend DDG – whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. – are expecting their first child together.

The couple, who made their red carpet-debut at the BET Awards in 2022, have been dating for 18 months.

Fans thought they spotted a series of clues in a video montage on the X platform.

They believed the footage showed Halle sporting a back bump in the back of her 25-year-old boyfriend’s YouTube video.

The pregnancy rumors grew after Halle attended the VMA Video Music Awards in September in a long, flowing dress.

‘LEAVE ME ALONE’

At the time, a source told Page Six: “Halle stayed away from the pink carpet so she would not be photographed, and when she was inside, she was very mindful in the way she gave hugs, and who she gave them to.”

Halle has said she’s tired of people speculating about her life.

The actress responded to a fan on Snapchat who questioned if she had a pregnancy nose earlier this month, per People.

She said: “Listen, if I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s going to be hell to pay.

“You know why? Because I’m Black. I love my nose.

“What are you concerned about my nose for? Leave me the h*** alone,” she said.
