Henry Cavill has finally spoken out on his upcoming Highlander reboot with John Wick director Chad Stahelski.

Henry Cavill has already proved he has what it takes for swords and sorcery after his brief stint in The Witcher.

A role tragically cut short after the Superman star exited the Netflix show, fans will be very pleased to hear he’s about to make a return to the world of action fantasy.

Rumours have abounded for the last few years that the 40-year-old was circling a Highlander reboot.

Christopher Lambert’s 1986 classic followed an immortal Scottish swordsman from his 16th century origins to the present day.

Just a few months ago it was confirmed that a new version starring Cavill is now going ahead at Lionsgate, helmed by John Wick quadrilogy director Chad Stahelski.

And now the Hollywood star himself has spoken out on the hotly-anticipated new project.

Cavill, who is promoting his new spy movie Argylle told Collider: “The training is about to begin in earnest. It’ll be a very long training process, and I’m very excited to get into it. There’s only so much I can tell you at the moment. I want to keep everything under wraps for as long as possible.”

The Highlander reboot is expected to start shooting in 2024, presumably for a 2025 release.
