Henry Cavill has catapulted himself into the echelons of Hollywood’s most formidable action heroes over the last decade.

So, when Matthew Vaughn was looking for the star of his spy flick, Argylle, he knew that the Brit’s chiseled features and dedication to maintaining his buff physique would present the perfect imposing figure on screen.

Whether battling aliens as Superman or hunting monsters in The Witcher, he threw himself into each role with unwavering commitment, performing many stunts himself.

The question arises in fans’ minds whether the 40-year-old made a justified sum for bringing his brawn and charm to Agent Argylle.

The Argylle paycheck Henry Cavill walked away with

While it has not been made official what Cavill was paid for Argylle, industry insiders have estimated the sum to fall between $8-$10 million. Well, the sum certainly sounds like they made the part worth his time.

For those wondering what he may have done with the hefty sum, it is likely he used it to indulge himself a bit. A few years ago, he revealed that he likes to pamper himself after wrapping up a project.

The number is pretty much adjacent to what he made for The Witcher’s second season. However, unlike the Netflix series, his screen time in Argylle is believed to be minuscule in comparison.

Meanwhile, the budget for the espionage thriller was estimated to be around $200 million. However, the fact that it has received an underwhelming response might take away the possibility of any further bonuses Cavill might have made from Argylle.

As impressive as his takeaway from Argylle sounds, it is not his biggest yet.

The DC flick that paid Cavill the most

Henry Cavill has appeared in five DC flicks as the Last Son of Krypton. The one that rewarded him the most handsomely out of these was Justice League, for which the Superman actor made a staggering $20 million.

In comparison, his DC debut through Man of Steel awarded him a mere $300,000 initially. Later, its blockbuster status brought him huge bonuses taking the number up to approximately $14 million!

After Argylle, the Black Adam actor is appearing in another Liongate-backed project, an unnamed Highlander reboot. Well, for this action fantasy flick, the production house has allowed its director, Chad Stahelski a $100 million plus budget as well. So, the chunk of change Cavill will likely make from it is bound to take his current $50 million net worth a smidge higher.
