Kaia Gerber Flaunts Her Bikini Physique while Exploring Female Dynamics in the Eerie Teaser for The Palisades: ‘Girls Can Be Cruel’
Kaia Gerber makes a splash in the haunting new teaser of her upcoming dramatic short, The Palisades.
The catwalk queen, 20, shows off her runway figure in a bikini and sheer skirt.
The mysterious film which also stars Ewan McGregor’s daughter Esther-Rose, 19, sees Kaia playing a young woman attempting to decode female behavior.
Despite her seemingly idyllic life, something seems to be troubling Alex (Gerber).
‘It can be hard to find a friend you can really trust,’ Kaia narrates as the sneak peek begins.
The young model can be seen flashing her belly as she lays in bed, gazing contemplatively at her room.
In spite of her best efforts to hang out with friends, she seems to feel like an outsider.
The model is seen looking left out as two girlfriends play in the pool together without her.
‘Girls can be so mean. I always felt like other girls were acting a certain way to make someone like them,’ Kaia continues.
Next, a scene of a friend leaning her friend against Kaia’s shoulder appears.
The model flashes a satisfied smile, relishing the girl time.
‘But then I was always left wondering, “What are they really like?”
‘I’ve just never really had that many friends.’
The cryptic trailer ends with flashes of shots of Kaia dancing and hanging out with the friends she doesn’t seem to fit in with.
The teaser offers few clues as to the plot of the film.
So far, little is known about the movie directed by Carissa Gallo.
A description of the film on the Palisades website reads, ‘THE PALISADES is an exploration of the subtleties of female friendship.’
Additionally, the film so far has no office release date, however Nylon notes it may be available for viewing ‘soon.’
The film is not Kaia’s first foray into acting, with the catwalk queen having appeared in numerous shorts in the past.
Most recently, she appeared in American Horror Story as Ruby and Kendall Carr.
